Two Qi 2.2.1 wireless-charging milestones lead a recent industry briefing. A Zhejiang-based company has reportedly obtained the first Qi 2.2.1 certification for an automotive front-install module, extending the standard into vehicle-grade applications. Voda's Nu329B wireless-charging module has also been certified to Qi 2.2.1.
On the power-conversion side, the briefing notes Allegro's CT431 being used to provide high-speed current sensing for the PFC stage of a tier-one 3200W power supply. Sanan SiC has entered the core PFC of an international 3800W high-power supply, described as progress in domestic component substitution.
Passive components also feature, with Fengbin capacitors across several specifications entering an international tier-one 3800W server power supply.
Consumer-product items in the same briefing include a teardown of a 65W three-in-one power bank, a charging review of the Huawei nova 16 Ultra, IKEA's new magnetic wireless charging pads and a donut-shaped magnetic wireless charger, and a new travel fast charger from UGREEN positioned to fill a market gap.
The briefing also referenced a teardown of an Apple M6 Mac mini (model A3534), and noted Li Auto extending V2L coverage across more vehicle models.
