Rewoda has introduced a 70W GaN charger, model RWD070G, positioned around the AVS fast charging support added to Apple's iPhone 18 Pro series. Apple states that faster wired charging on that lineup needs an AVS-capable USB-C adapter rated 60W or above. The RWD070G combines a 70W output with two USB-C paths, a built-in retractable cable and an onboard display.
The body uses a glossy black front panel over a matte white shell, with a fixed USB-C port on top and a retractable cable hidden in a recess below it. Its foldable prongs sit flush with the housing when stowed, keeping the unit compact for commuting and travel. The two USB-C outputs are each rated up to 70W when used alone, covering phones, tablets and thin-and-light notebooks.
When two devices are connected, the charger splits C1 and C2 so the retractable-cable path delivers up to 50W while the fixed USB-C port supplies up to 20W, letting a laptop and a phone charge together. A display reports live output power and temperature, information otherwise visible only on the device being charged.
On protocols, the RWD070G supports AVS alongside PD3.2, PPS, QC5, QC3.0, FCP, SCP, AFC, DCP and Apple 2.4, and testing confirmed it can activate AVS fast charging on an iPhone 18 Pro Max. It also monitors internal temperature under sustained high-power load, stepping output down once a preset limit is reached, with short-circuit, over-current and over-voltage protection listed.
The design reflects a wider shift in the charging market toward protocol coverage, bundled cable storage and multi-device use rather than raw wattage alone.
