TEARDOWNTeardown: Belkin 240W Thunderbolt 5 Cable Packs EJ903W E-Marker
A passive 1 m cable rated for 80Gbps and 240W EPR, using double shielding, full-pin gold contacts and an eEver E-Marker on each connector PCB.

Belkin's Connect Thunderbolt 5 cable is Intel Thunderbolt 5 certified for 80Gbps bidirectional data and up to 240W of PD3.1 power delivery. The 1m assembly is passive, with no redriver, and is listed as backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4 and USB 3.2. Bandwidth Boost lifts one direction to 120Gbps, and the packaging claims triple-display 4K/144Hz, dual 8K/60Hz or single 4K/540Hz.
The cable weighs 44.4g, spans 103cm and has a 4.43mm jacket. Read with a POWER-Z KM003C, its E-Marker reports 50V at 5A for 240W and a USB Gen 4 data rating.
Each connector is a moulded shell over a metal shield can, with copper foil where the can meets the jacket. Inside, a small PCB carries the soldered cores, and the contact block uses two full rows of gold-plated pins behind an extended strain-relief boot.
The E-Marker is an eEver EJ903W in a 20-pin WLCSP, qualified to USB PD 3.1 and Type-C Release 2.2 with EPR at 240W and USB4 support. It integrates a 12MHz crystal, a VCONN diode, an LDO and 8KB of MTP, is programmable over CC, draws about 10mW and clamps VCONN at 5.75V, and holds USB-IF approval 6918/748.
Cutting it open shows a braided shield over aluminium foil, seven white tensile fibres and separately shielded coaxial cores for the high-speed lanes. Power runs on a stranded tinned-copper VBUS core rated for 50V at 5A, with a dedicated ground, a VCONN wire, a CC pair and a USB 2.0 pair.
For buyers, it is a reference for the material cost of a 1m passive 240W cable: double shielding, gold contacts and a certified E-Marker, with no active silicon in the data path.
