Teardown: Jiedian 10,000mAh Power Bank with Retractable USB-C Cable

A teardown of the Jiedian 10,000mAh bag-mount power bank (model NY-CDD01) shows how the design integrates a built-in USB-C cable. The unit carries a rated energy of 36.5Wh (7.3V, 5000mAh) at a nominal cell voltage of 3.65V, with a rated capacity of 5800mAh at 5V/3A. Measured dimensions are 83.86 x 52.10 x 38.71mm and the power bank weighs about 231.8g.

The standout feature is a retractable USB-C cable stored inside the housing, with a measured maximum extension of about 70.5cm. A magnetic retention slot holds the cable's USB-C connector flush with the body when stowed. The housing also includes a spring-clip ring loop, an LED digital display for battery percentage and a single USB-C port.

Both the onboard USB-C port and the built-in cable support the same fast-charge protocols when measured with a power tester: UFCS 1.2, QC3.0, FCP, SCP, AFC, PD3.0/PPS, Apple 2.4A and DCP. The fixed PDO set comprises 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A and 20V/2.75A, alongside a 5-11V/3A PPS range and a 5.5-11V/3A UFCS range.

In testing, the power bank delivered 14.73V at 2.58A, or 38.05W, when charging an iPhone 18 Pro over the built-in cable. The USB-C port is rated for up to 35W input and 55W output, giving the unit 55W bidirectional fast charging. The product carries 3C certification.
