Teardown: Xiaomi 10000 55W Power Bank Has Retractable USB-C Cable

Xiaomi's 10,000 mAh pack adds a 70 cm retractable USB-C cable, dual USB-C ports at 55W, a 38.32Wh cell and a display for power, temperature and battery health.

Xiaomi has released a 10,000 mAh power bank, model NPB1055R, that carries China's 2026 new national standard (3C) certification. It is offered in three finishes and integrates a built-in USB-C cable that extends to about 70 cm and retracts when pulled a second time, so no separate cord is needed.

The pack uses a 2C1A layout: one retractable USB-C output, one fixed USB-C port and one USB-A port. Both USB-C ports are rated at up to 55W output and 45W input, and the company lists compatibility with its own fast-charge protocol as well as PD3.2, covering phones, tablets and thin laptops.

Rated energy is 38.32Wh (11.61V, 3300mAh), which keeps the pack within common airline carry limits. USB-C output is listed at 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A and 20V/2.75A, with PPS at 5-11V/5A and AVS at 9-15V/3A and 15-20V/2.75A, while the USB-A port tops out lower.

A hidden digital display on the front shows remaining capacity, live power, operating temperature, battery health and cycle count, and the same information can be reviewed on a computer through a web page. Display brightness is selectable between two levels, and the screen sits flush with the panel when idle.

Measured dimensions are 90.07 mm long, 50.03 mm wide and 41.23 mm thick, with the retractable cable measuring about 71 cm. For accessory buyers, the design combines a fixed internal cable, a multi-protocol controller and a data-capable display in one enclosure, a combination increasingly common in certified 10,000 mAh packs.
