At the 2026 fall Asia Charging Expo, a Chinese chip vendor showed a Type-C portfolio built on its in-house RISC-V core: PD charge and sink controllers, eMarker chips, wireless charging ICs, high-voltage PD MCUs and reference designs. The line-up combines USB data communication with PD power delivery and high-voltage power management.
The most integrated part is the CH9241 cable SoC, which folds the core functions of a one-in, multiple-out fast-charging cable onto one die, removing the need for a separate MCU, PD sink chip, high-voltage LDO and eMarker chip. The CH9241M version implements a PD3.2 EPR 140W one-to-three display cable with blind-mate dual ports, simultaneous fast charging, adaptive power sharing and a TFT panel showing phone model and battery level.
For protocol control, the CH233 single-port part accepts 3.3V to 22V input and covers PD3.2/2.0, PPS and AVS, with TL431 or DC-DC feedback adjustment, I2C control and multi-port power allocation. The CH224 sink controller supports PD3.2 EPR up to 140W and is configurable by a single resistor, I/O level or I2C in a 2 x 2 mm DFN10 package.
The eMarker family spans two voltage tiers. The base CH252 targets cost and reliability, while the 55V-rated CH253 is specified to operate at the 48V maximum of PD3.2 EPR 240W and supports USB4 Gen4 at 80Gbps and Thunderbolt 5.
Wireless charging is covered by the CH249, which carries four half-bridge drivers, an integrated high-voltage pre-driver, direct MOS drive and dual high-precision current sensing. The CH249M Qi2.2 scheme spans BPP at 5W, EPP at 15W and MPP at 15W or 25W, with Q-factor measurement plus over-temperature, under-voltage, over-current and foreign-object protection.
